Held in honor of an avid fisherman and park visitor, the tournament starts at 8 am Saturday, June 22 and ends at 8 am Sunday, June 23. Sponsored by the park friends group, registration for the event is $10.00. A prize will be awarded for the biggest fish caught.
A one-hour lesson for kids to learn the basics of kayaking and have the opportunity to kayak in a controlled environment in the cove behind the park store.
Want to enjoy the outdoors and beat the heat? Starting a little over an hour before sunset a Park Ranger will lead you on a nature hike and talk about the history of the Concho Valley area and San Angelo State Park. Hike ends on Wink Hill just before sunset so bring your cameras!

The falll is a great time to camp in Texas. The weather cools down after a hot summer, the leaves change colors and wildlife are more visible as they prepare themselves for winter. Our calendar of fall events will be posted soon. We hope to see you in our parks!
