Join us at Cleburne State Park to test your skills on the water in a kayak. We provide all the gear and instruction and let you paddle around the lake as part of our effort to encourage the outdoor activity of the month in state parks!

Program is free with park entry fee or annual pass. A Texas Outdoor Family Park Ranger will provide all the gear and instruction you need to get you comfortable with kayaking and let you paddle around the lake to test your skills. This is a come and go style event from 12:00PM-4:00PM at the Cleburne State Park Boat Ramp. Come at any point during this time period to kayak on the lake. Everyone will get a chance to paddle around, but the timeframe depends on how many participants we have. Everyone is required to wear a lifevest (provided) children must be at least 3 years old to ride on a boat and must be accompanied by an adult. In case of inclement weather (heavy rain, strong wind, lightning) the program may be canceled. Call the park to check: 817-645-4215.
