- Celebrate snakes through programs, activities, crafts, displays, live music and live snakes!
- Events will take place around Visitor Center and Pavilion areas.
- Dress and prepare to be outdoors (sunscreen, water, hat).
- Free with park entry fee.
Snakefesst Schedule of Programs:
9am-10am Snake Slither. Join Gilbert Martinez on a “herping” expedition looking for snakes, snake habitats, snake predators/prey, and learn what about an area attracts or repels snakes. Participants must be age 14 or over.
10am-11am SnakeTales. Snake-themed stories told by local teacher, poet, and snake lover Mobi Warren, storyteller extraordinaire!
11am-Noon Be Snake Safe! How to avoid snakbites and what to do if you fail. Program presenter will be Liza Howard, Wilderness Medicine Instructor, Nols Instructor, Snake Friend.
1pm-2pm Snakey Music. Musician Molly Hayes will sing her sweet and snakey songs that kids (and adults) always find ssssspectacular!
