General Access

The Alabama Creek WMA is mostly flat or small rolling hills with the Neches River on the East.

There are five information stations located around the Area. Two are located on FM 2262 along the east route, two along FM 2262 the south route and one along FM 357 on the northwest corner.

To access the interior of the WMA there are several designated Public Hunting Roads. The clearings for the transmission lines are also used.

NOTE: Roads may be closed on a seasonal basis. For more information on the National Forest, please call (936) 655-2299.

Permits Required

Hunters 17 years of age and older must possess an Annual Public Hunting Permit and valid hunting license. No permit is required for non-consumptive use. Check the current Public Hunting Lands map booklet for "Special Regulations in effect on US Forest Service Units."
