Winter 2006 – Although fish kills due to golden alga occurred in several locations during Winter 2006, the fish kills were not major. No statewide news releases were issued. More information on the Winter 2006 blooms is available on the Current Bloom Status page.

Golden Alga Information Card: TPWD has collaborated with TCEQ and other entities to produce a golden alga information card(pdf document).
