Caption/Information: Late Saturday, Len Polasek and Joe Herrera of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department watch a line of wildfire burn across TPWD’s Chaparral Wildlife Management Area. The fire burned about 95 percent of the 15,200-acre property in La Salle and Dimmit Counties south of San Antonio, causing no injuries and sparing most of the facilities but destroying a research building and several vehicles.
