Wetlands and Wildlife

Wetlands provide unique and critical habitat for thousands of species of animals ranging from fish, birds, mollusks, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and insects. Many endangered and threatened species utilize wetland habitat, and most species of amphibians are dependent on sources of water (such as wetlands) for reproductive success.
